Product description

These organic Red Onion seeds produce a healthy crop of F1 Red Tide Onions in late summer. The Onions are almost perfectly rounded with good skins and thin necks. They have a bright, bold colour and are easy to grow.

This variety is ideal for bringing colour and flavour to salads. It also roasts well and is an excellent addition to Mediterranean vegetable dishes. Red Onions are full of antioxidants and are a great source of B vitamins and vitamin C. Red Tide F1 Onions store extremely well, and your harvest should see you through the winter. Dry the Onions thoroughly and store them in a cold dark place or freeze them to use as needed.

Grow Onion plants in full sun in fertile, moist but well-draining soil. Water regularly until established and during dry spells and remove any flower heads as soon as they appear.

Sow indoors from February to March or outdoors from April. Plant seedlings out from April to May, allowing 30cm between plants. Harvest from August to September.
