Product description

With its abundance of vibrant lavender flowers, Phlox Ka-Pow ® Lavender is a striking perennial blooming from June to August. The large clusters of star shaped flowers are fragrant and attract bees, butterflies and other pollinators, while the narrow green leaves produce a robust look that is great for ground cover.

Phlox Ka-Pow ® Lavender flourishes in most soil types and is equally suited to flower beds, borders and containers. It is a medium paced grower and will reach a height of up to 0.5m and spread of 0.4m in 2-5 years. The plant will retreat back below ground for the winter and re-emerge with fresh blossom in spring.

Commonly known as Garden Phlox, the plant grows in a uniform upright pattern and works best when planted in a sunny spot with good air circulation. This is a low maintenance plant that is frost resistant and relatively hardy.

Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only - The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

Instructions

Top Tip

Deadhead spent blooms regularly to encourage continuous flowering and maintain a tidy appearance.

How to Water

Water Phlox regularly, keeping the soil evenly moist, especially during dry spells. Avoid overhead watering to prevent disease. Once established, Phlox can tolerate moderate drought but prefers consistent moisture for optimal growth.

How to Plant

Plant Phlox in well-drained, fertile soil in a location that receives full sun to partial shade. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, place the plant in, and backfill with soil. Space plants about 45cm apart to allow for growth.
