Product description

Phlox Olympus features dark green and cream variegated foliage that really stands out from other herbaceous border plants. The stars of the show, however, are the pink-purple flowers that blossom all summer long and make excellent cut flowers for indoor displays. The flowers are also highly fragrant with a lingering sweet scent that is irresistible to bees, butterflies and other pollinators.

This low-maintenance garden plant is easy to care for and doesn’t demand much attention. Plant it in a sunny spot and keep the soil moist but well-drained, and Phlox Olympus will thrive.

Phlox Olympus is the ideal plant for herbaceous borders but also grows well in pots and containers. Its informal charm makes it the perfect addition to cottage gardens. Phlox Olympus is fully hardy and while it dies back below ground level over the winter months, it sprouts back to life the following spring.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

Instructions

Top Tip

Deadhead spent blooms regularly to encourage continuous flowering and maintain a tidy appearance.

How to Water

Water Phlox regularly, keeping the soil evenly moist, especially during dry spells. Avoid overhead watering to prevent disease. Once established, Phlox can tolerate moderate drought but prefers consistent moisture for optimal growth.

How to Plant

Plant Phlox in well-drained, fertile soil in a location that receives full sun to partial shade. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, place the plant in, and backfill with soil. Space plants about 45cm apart to allow for growth.
