The leaves will grow up to 5 meters in length and be divided into many linear leaflets. Creamy, yellow flowers bloom throughout summer, followed by reddish-yellow fruits in autumn.
This tall palm can reach heights of over 12m, and should be planted in well-drained, loamy soil, in partial shade where it will grow best. This leafy giant will bring a piece of tropical paradise to any garden.

How to Water
Water Phoenix trees deeply after planting and maintain regular watering during their first year to encourage root establishment. Once established, they are drought-tolerant but will benefit from supplemental watering during prolonged dry periods, especially in hot weather. Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings to avoid over-saturation, as waterlogged conditions can harm the roots. For best results, water early in the day to minimise evaporation and ensure the soil absorbs moisture effectively.
How to Plant
To plant a Phoenix tree, select a sunny spot with well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and slightly deeper than its height. Gently tease out the roots if they are compacted before placing the tree in the hole, ensuring the crown is at soil level. Backfill with a mix of soil and organic matter, firm gently, and water thoroughly to settle the soil.
