Product description
Acer orientalia is a deciduous tree that is a hybrid of two other Acer varieties - campestre and cappadocicum. This hybrid will add an abundance of bright shades to your garden. Its lobed, maple leaves have a golden yellow colour with red tinges from Spring into early Summer. The red then fades and the foliage bears a deep red throughout Autumn. Being a smaller tree, this is ideal for small gardens, as well as any elegant borders.
More commonly known as Maple Tree, this variety prefers to be grown in fertile, moist and well-drained soil, meaning regular watering is necessary for adequate progression. It can be grown in full sunlight or partial shade. The ultimate height and spread of this Acer is 3m in height and 2.5m in spread, over the course of 20 years.
