Product description
Leucojum Aestivum bulbs are beautiful perennials with narrowly shaped leaves and umbels with bell-shaped white colours. Each tepal is usually tipped with green and occasionaly, pink will appear throughout the plant.
Leucojum bulbs prefer being in moist - but not overwatered - soils, which are ideal for planting in beds, borders, banks or baskets. Plant the bulbs approx 8-10cm deep and expect flowering throughout April & May.
The bulbs thrive in light conditions - either full sun or partial shade. Group the bulbs together, either five or more to each patch. After planting, gently soak the soil while settling it around the bulbs. The roots will begin to form around Autumn time and the flowers will blossom during Spring.

Top Tip
When the foliage starts to yellow and die back at the end of the season, resist the urge to prune it. Allowing the plant to die back naturally enhances its energy levels, resulting in a wonderful display of flowers the following year.
How to Water
Water thoroughly when planting. After this, leucojum planted in the ground should only need to be watered during dry spells. Bulbs grown in pots and containers will need watering more regularly to prevent the soil from drying out.
How to Plant
Choose a spot with humus-rich, moist soil in full sun or partial shade. Use a bulb planter or trowel to dig holes 15-20cm apart. Place one bulb 10-15cm deep in each hole. Ensure the pointed end of the bulb faces upwards then backfill, firm down and water in well.
