Product description
A compact, mounding, semi-evergreen shrub which brings intense, fiery colour to the garden. Also known as heavenly or sacred bamboo, this bright and colourful variety bears leathery, bamboo-like foliage and panicles of small, star-shaped white flowers in the summer. The leaves start as green, and gain a pink-red tinge throughout the summer, before turning to a vivid combination of copper and red in the autumn, accompanied by small, red berries similar to holly.
Grows best when using well-drained soil and planted in a sheltered spot away from harsh winds. Maintain soil moisture and sun, though it can tolerate partial shade and moderate drought once established. In colder regions it will be semi-evergreen or deciduous and frost protection is advised.

Top Tip
Prune Nandina in late winter or early spring to remove old, woody stems and encourage fresh, vibrant growth.
How to Water
Water Nandina regularly during the first growing season to establish strong roots. Once established, it is drought-tolerant but benefits from occasional watering during extended dry periods.
How to Plant
Plant Nandina in well-draining soil with access to full sun or partial shade. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and as deep. Place the plant, backfill with soil, and firm gently. Space multiple plants 60-90cm apart. Water thoroughly after planting to settle the soil.
