The foliage of the variety develops characteristically long sword-like leaves which are predominantly green but develop bronze stripes that are sometimes interspersed with pink and red edges, giving this plant a lovely multicoloured effect. Flowers occasionally accompany the foliage of this plant, although they are rarely seen, so if your plant sprouts yellow flowers during the spring then you are very priveliged. This plant prefers well-drained soil and fully-sunny positions in the garden, but can tolerate partially shaded areas also.
