āGoldfingerā is a bushy deciduous shrub with a upright growth habit. It has small, dark-green pinnate leaves which are in groups of 5 or 7 leaflets, with each leaflet approximately 4 cm in length.
Flowers are buttercup to saucer in shape and the petals are composed of a lovely yellow colour. Each flower is approximately 4 cm in diameter.
Although it enjoys the sun, it can tolerate the shade. But, full sun will decrease the length of life for the individual flowers.
Remove dead or unwanted branches at the end of the season or at the onset of spring. This plant does well in most soil types, as long as the soil remains moist. Although it is deciduous, it is full hardy and can withstand most temperatures in Europe.
As it is a more compact shrub, it grows well in flower beds and as accents in shrub borders. As is has an upright growing habit, it does well to plant in areas where you would like to add some wonderful colourations. For example, as a foundation plant in an often-seen front yard area.
