Product description
Cistus Alan Fradd is an evergreen shrub with white flowers that form with a thinner layer on the petals of the plant. Each flower brings a yellow centre and red blotching, with both of those adding an effective pop of colour and character to this gorgeous garden shrub. To top it all off, the dark green foliage of the plant is evergreen, so that colour will remain throughout the year. Cistus should be planted in moist, well-drained soil and placement should see it kept in full sun at the best of times. Pruning the plants after their flowering period is key to ensure the best possible display every year. In the drier periods of the year, watering should be carried out more regularly so, especially in the Summer months, put more focus on the care process.

Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Cistus doesn’t tolerate hard pruning well and doesn’t like to be moved, so choose your spot carefully and leave plenty of space for it to grow into.
How to Water
Water regularly throughout the first growing season until fully established. After this, cistus is drought tolerant and only needs to be watered during particularly dry spells.
How to Plant
Plant cistus in a warm, sheltered, sunny spot in light, well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice as big as the nursery pot and position the plant so the top of the root ball is at soil level. Backfill the hole with soil and compost, firm down gently, and water in well.
