From May to June the plant is decorated with small, sweet-pea shaped white flowers. These highly fragrant blooms are bursting with nectar and attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators to the garden.
Also known as Broom, Cytisus is a low maintenance plant that is easy to grow in the right conditions. It prefers a sunny spot in well-draining soil that isn’t prone to waterlogging.
