Juniperus communis 'Compressa', known as Common Juniper, is a dwarf conifer, with a narrow, upright-growing habit. This shrub produces dense, pine scented, evergreen foliage with tightly-packed, blue-green needles, that turn shades of copper over the winter months.
A slow-growing and low maintenance plant that requires little or no pruning. Grow this shrub in well drained soil, preferably a dry, sandy or chalky soil type. Plant in a position with full sun or light shade. Well suited to a mixed border or a rock garden.

How to Plant
Plant Juniperus in well-drained soil and a location with full sun. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and as deep as its height. Place the plant, backfill with soil, and water thoroughly. Space plants adequately for air circulation, especially for spreading varieties.
