Product description
Juniperus horizontalis 'Prince of Wales' is an attractive low growing compact evergreen conifer. This variety is commonly planted in large groups to form a dense carpet-like groundcover spread of beautifully fragrant blue-tinged green foliage, these rich green colours last throughout the summer months, before turning to a purple-burgundy colour in winter. This plant is extremely hardy and is suited to a variety of difficult conditions such as harsh cold as well as extremely windy locations, it even thrives in areas with poor soil. 'Creeping Juniper' is perfectly suited for locations where a nice ground-hugging variety can be shown off or it can help showcase taller, more colorful garden varieties, ideally placed in a rock garden or embankment.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Instructions
Top Tip
Avoid overwatering Juniperus, as they thrive in dry conditions. Prune lightly to maintain shape but avoid heavy pruning, as they don't recover well from it.
How to Water
Water Juniperus deeply after planting and regularly during the first growing season to establish roots. Once established, they are drought-tolerant and only need occasional watering during prolonged dry periods.
How to Plant
Plant Juniperus in well-drained soil and a location with full sun. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and as deep as its height. Place the plant, backfill with soil, and water thoroughly. Space plants adequately for air circulation, especially for spreading varieties.
