Product description

Juniperus Nana is a low-growing, extremely hardy, wide spreading compact mat-forming evergreen conifer with long-spreading branches that stiffen and hug the ground. It boasts tiny, needle-like foliage that establishes as blue-green during the summer months before adding a purple-ish hue in the winter. Nana is a slow grower but provides excellent ground cover in well-drained flower beds that are exposed to full sun, it is also resistant to drought and various temperature changes once it is established, as well as tolerating most soil conditions, making it a low maintenance shrub.

Instructions

Top Tip

Avoid overwatering Juniperus, as they thrive in dry conditions. Prune lightly to maintain shape but avoid heavy pruning, as they don't recover well from it.

How to Water

Water Juniperus deeply after planting and regularly during the first growing season to establish roots. Once established, they are drought-tolerant and only need occasional watering during prolonged dry periods.

How to Plant

Plant Juniperus in well-drained soil and a location with full sun. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and as deep as its height. Place the plant, backfill with soil, and water thoroughly. Space plants adequately for air circulation, especially for spreading varieties.
