Product description

A very bright variety of Potentilla, the ‘Mango Tango’ is a beautiful deciduous shrub that is somewhat compact with bushy, pinnate, grey green leaves growing densely all along the stems. Vibrant blooms of yellow and orange flowers appear in small clusters all over the foliage. The petals overlap slightly, creating a slight cup-shape. These flowers bloom from Summer right through to the beginnings of Autumn.

Plant in moist, moderately fertile, well-drained soils and keep in full or partial sun. Partial sunlight is preferable as it will ensure the longest flowering period. Prune in later Winter just before Spring when the weather is milder to encourage fresh growth.

Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may, therefore, differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. This plant will be supplied in a grower’s pot.

Instructions

Top Tip

Prune Potentilla annually in late winter or early spring to encourage compact growth and abundant flowering throughout the season.

How to Water

Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season to establish roots. Once established, they are drought-tolerant but benefit from occasional watering during prolonged dry periods. Avoid overwatering, as they dislike soggy soil.

How to Plant

Choose a sunny or partially shaded location with well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Place the plant at the same depth it was in its container, backfill, and firm the soil. Water thoroughly after planting and add mulch to retain moisture and reduce weeds.
