“Tangerine” is a mounded varietal of the Potentilla species. It is a deciduous shrub with a bushy growth habit with very small, dark-green pinnate leaves. Each leaf is approximately 1-2 cm in length.
Flowers are saucer-shaped, and the petals have tangerine colours, with other orange and yellows accents throughout the petals. Each flower is approximately 2 to 3 cm in diameter. These flowers will grow throughout the warmer months.
Remove dead or unwanted branches at the end of the season or at the onset of spring. This plant does well in most soil types, as long as the soil remains moist. Although it is deciduous, it is full hardy and can withstand most temperatures in Europe.
As it is one of the more compact shrubs, it grows well as an accent in a flower bed. It is excellent for a patio and growing in a container where you can put it in a sheltered but sunny location.
