Product description

The Juniperus ‘Gold Star’ is an interesting conifer with a spreading habit that gives it’s a flat-topped look. The spreading foliage tends to overlap with dense clusters of needle-like foliage which gains a yellow hue under the sun. If kept in partially sunny locations it will strike a nice balance of yellow and green throughout the foliage, providing some lovely bright colour. A great option for edging and borders due to its arching, structured nature.

Plant in any well-drained soils and keep in full or partial sun. Resistant to drought once established and tolerant of poorer, heavier soils.

Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may, therefore, differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. This plant will be supplied in a grower’s pot.

Instructions

Top Tip

Avoid overwatering Juniperus, as they thrive in dry conditions. Prune lightly to maintain shape but avoid heavy pruning, as they don't recover well from it.

How to Water

Water Juniperus deeply after planting and regularly during the first growing season to establish roots. Once established, they are drought-tolerant and only need occasional watering during prolonged dry periods.

How to Plant

Plant Juniperus in well-drained soil and a location with full sun. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and as deep as its height. Place the plant, backfill with soil, and water thoroughly. Space plants adequately for air circulation, especially for spreading varieties.
